Wet
your hair thoughly. |
| The first step in shampooing is to wet your hair with
moderate temperature (100¾F) and low water pressure. Trap the water
with your hands and gently massage with it. Repeat this procedure for
3 minutes. At this point, dirt and oil on your hair will be rinsed
out. |
 |
Single
strand of hair is very fine. If you rinse your hair with hot water,
it will cause the cuticle to peel. Also, the essential oils will run
out. |
 |
|
 |
Shampoo your scalp! Only lather the ends
|
| The
proper way of shampooing is to shampoo your scalp, not your hair.
Apply shampoo from the nape, around the ears and hairline. Gently
massage the scalp throughout your entire head. Keeping your scalp
clean and healthy is very important. |
 |
It is not necessary to lather up so much! Too much
lathering can cause damage on the cuticle of the hair. |
 |
|
 |
| Gently rinse your hair |
| Just as you wet your hair in the first step, trap the water and gently
massage with it. Do not use strong water pressure to rinse the hair. |
 |
|
 |
Certain kinds of styling
materials can damage your hair
|
| Styling
materials used will harden up throughout the day. They should be thoroughly
rinsed out before applying the shampoo, but never brushe it out before
wetting. Apply shampoo, gently lather and massage your entire scalp.
Let it sit with lather for 1 minute. This will cleanse the build-up
of the styling material on your hair. After rinsing it out, apply
conditioning treatment. |
|
| For damaged hair apply treatment before shampooing |
| If your
hair is damaged, wet your hair thoroughly and apply treatment to protect
your hair before shampoo. Apply treatment only on the ends of hair.
For hair longer than the shoulder line, apply treatment and let it
penetrate into hair as you gently massage. The amount of the treatment
is about the size of a teaspoon for long hair. |
 |
|
 |
| Apply
the treatment |
| Conditioning
treatment works to revitalize and replenish lost protein and other
vital nutrients in damaged hair. Since there are more people with
damaged hair nowadays, it is necessary to apply conditioning treatment
every time you shampoo your hair. |
 |
|
 |
If
your hair is damaged, leave conditioning treatment at the hair ends.
With no rincing. |
|
 |
Gently towel blot excess moisture
|
| Towel
blot excess moisture, rather than rubbing down with a towel. Excess
moisture left in the hair will gather at the ends as time passes by.
Gently blot the moisture at the ends to avoid friction between strands
of hair that will cause cuticle damage. |
 |
|
 |
Blow-drying can prevent further damage of hair |
| Air-drying
your hair after shampoo will cause more damage than blow-drying. After
towel drying your hair, spray a leave-in conditioner, Repair Through.
Then blow-dry the nape first, leaving the area above the forehead
second. |
 |
 |
The
bottom part should be dried first, so that the top part does not
absorb the moisture from the bottom. In the end, this gives body
to your hair. No matter how much you use the blow dryer, the top
will remain flat because the hair soaks up moisture from the bottom
while it is wet. Begin styling the hair when the scalp is completely
dry and 80% of the hair is dry.
After your hair is completely
dry, spray Tsuya-Pata and comb through your hair. It will leave
your hair shiner and silkier.

How to maintain beautiful
long hair
|
| Long
hair tends to get very damaged easily. Any hair past shoulder length
can be considered damaged. Hair is a build up of dead cells, so it
does not have the ability to heal and revitalize its own damaged areas.
Natural oils from your scalp can only reach to your ear line. If you
keep this in mind every time you shampoo your hair, it will make a
lot of difference. |
